Reasons Why I'm Choosing The Pixel

I've spent the last month deciding over which phone to purchase next and I've assessed a lot of options including the iPhone. In this post I will look at the reason as to why I'm choosing the Pixel Phone by Google over the iPhone.

1: Putting Google First
I am fully integrated to the Google ecosystem in which I use a lot of Google apps such as Calendar, Keep, Inbox and Drive Pretty much everything I do on technology, apart from my Xbox One, always involves some kind of Google service or product so it makes sense to continue that by choosing the Pixel. I am of course aware that almost all of Google's apps are available on the App Store for iOS but nothing will quite beat that pure Google experience offered by the Pixel Phone.

2: Daydream
This is something that I believe will completely revolutionise the virtual reality industry for everyday consumers with a simple affordable headset and controller combination this is the first place most people will look to when choosing to step in to VR which is one of the most exciting emerging technologies.

3: Google Assistant
The Google Assistant is better than Siri. With Google's machine learning and vast knowledge there is no better alternative to the often underwhelming experience of Siri. However I do expect Siri to develop massively throughout 2017 with the arrival of Apple's Amazon Echo and Google Home rival.

4: Camera
From what I've seen since the launch of this handset the Pixel camera looks absolutely astonishing and as a photography student myself I just can't wait to get my hands on the Pixel to test Google's claims for the ability of this camera,

5: Headphone Jack
Apple has made a strange decision by choosing to not include a headphone jack with the iPhone 7 and although this isn't a deciding factor in my decision it is better to have one that to not have one. Wireless headphones and earbuds are getting better though so maybe in 12-24 months no smartphones will come with a headphone jack.

Right, where's my wallet?
